Staying Really Warm

Hi again,

Hope that you all are having a nice AUTUMN BREAK, for those of you that have holiday. I am looking so much forward to this holiday because I am going on a scouts camp to Vejle (Jutland). Well not that it’s a bad thing but apparently we are going to sleep in tents or in shelters in -5 °C… “Yikes!”. My pack list was the craziest thing yet, it went on for 2 pages! I have to bring 15 pairs of regular socks and on top of that 5 pairs of ‘over-the-knee’ woolen socks. SO thanks to my my wonderful mum, I now have new… rain gear, socks (x20), ski underwear, top, gloves (x4), fleece ear warmers and my mum accidently shrunk my woolen sweater in the wash (now it fits Halley) so she so kindly gave me hers! I was also so lucky that our neighbor Lina could lend my a thermal sleeping bag, thank you!

I hope that I can stay all warm – while I’m sleeping and awake. I leave tomorrow so I won’t be able to blog this week.

PS. Malou – my bunny is being operated while I’m gone. It’s an operation that bunnies sometimes die of so I’ve made an ‘alter-of-luck’ in my room with all the stuff that’s hers or reminds me of her. (Wish her luck!)

My sweet little bunny!

Hi,

For those who I am friends with on Facebook, might know that I am sick. No, not deadly sick thankfully haha… just a stomach ache, no big deal. But my poor little bunny hasn’t had very much attention these last 2 days. Sometimes I feel like the worst owner EVER! Because in my book about rabbits, which I studied for 1 month before getting my bunny Malou, it says that one should give it a run for 4 hours a day at least! I mean is this “rabbit expert” CRAZY, I seriously can’t hang around my little cold garden for 4 hours a day! Sorry Malou, here’s you (right about) 1 hour a day.

And what does a bunny do on one of these runs? Well… humping her sister November (I know it’s very disturbing!), being humped by November and then running away, play tag with November, getting lost in some bush, eating plants, hiding under our christiania bike and by the way you can not get her out of there. And then when she feels like her daily routine is complete she jumps back up into her hutch… and cleans herself. Interesting life style.

She is my life! My only friend who I can truly trust and be honest with! She is like the ideal sister to me! Because you know she’s not gonna tell anyone. When I go on holiday I miss her so much that I sometimes cry at her picture when I feel that I want to talk to her – very embarrassing, but for you that have/had pets probably knows what this feels like. Like my parents, both my parents grew up with loads of cats. My dad had 12 cats at one point when he was little.

Me and Loulou this summer.

Halley’s Cool Shoes

Hi

I for a long time really wanted a pair of Hummel shoes and guess what… Halley my 5 year old sister got them! But I am very happy for her, because she is so cute when she wears them. She unfortunately she didn’t want to pose with them on for my blog. :-(

They aren’t exactly the same, I liked the creme colored ones and Halley got these cool ones that are black and sparkly. She’s a lucky girl – she really is.

10 years since 9/11

Hello,

Today I am very much focussed (like millions of other people) on the 11th of September 2001. RIP the people that risked their lives and lost them to save others. At the time I was only 2 1/2 so I had no clue at all about the damage and terror in World Trade Center, New York. But today footage and speeches (by the president and other affected people) have been on TV all day. It was very touching to see all of this and very uncomfortably upsetting.

I have now realized how huge and ruining for both people and the city this was. I can only say that I am very affected and sorry for everyone who lost someone, it’s terrible.

I have seen a movie about the hijacking of the planes. It was a very scary, immediately I thought: what kind of a person could do this, why, this world doesn’t have to be like this, so scary, we are asking for it! I can’t describe how I felt after seeing this footage today. I don’t know how many times I’ve have had to close my eyes because they showed World Trade Center 1&2 collapse.

After a post about such a terrible thing I would like to give the cloud it’s silver lining. Thursday 8th of September, Viggo Bluteau Stairs our new little neighbor was born into this world. Welcome Viggo, you are so cute!

My mum and sister with Viggo.

With love and compassion,

Aisling.

Always Remember!

Hi! I’ve learned some quite unusual stuff that might help someone in similar situations (or questions) that might pop-up in your life. I mean I’ve learned stuff that could cause death! (and just to be clear I haven’t just learned to cross at the green light).

  • Give your grandmother clear information about what to feed your bunny while you’re on holiday. You just might get back to a grandmother feeding lettuce (they get deadly diarrhea from that!) to them.
  • Don’t cycle 20 km with baggage for 2 weeks on the back. You get very sore knees! Up hill, down hill – all the way!
  • To do extreme stuff is the way of living your life.
  • When you’re 12 you aren’t too big to have your dad read a story for you on a holiday.
  • Svaneke on Bornholm  in Denmark is the town of sweets, they have a caramel-, chocolate-, ice cream- and candy factory/shop.
  • Us that haven’t lost anyone in the terrible Norway incidents are moving on. But those people that have, the people with so much grief have to live with it for the rest of their lives.

Jumpsuits and Summer Traveling

Hello,

Finally the summer holiday is here. I know that it has been almost 2 weeks since it started, but last week my little sister and I were at an Athletic Camp. So really it only feels like 1 week. This year I am going to Ireland (and see my new cousin Ellen for the first time ever!), and I’m leaving Monday the 11th (this Monday). It’s going to be exciting since this is the first year I travel alone with my youngest little sister Halley. But this is the 3rd year for me and my other little sister Ciara. Halley is known for being a bit demanding and easily gets angry (when she is tired), and that’s where it gets “exciting”.

So since it’s summer Ciara, my mum and I went shopping. Now to the real point, named in the title. I bought this Jumpsuit, and I never ever thought that I could wear a jumpsuit. I always thought that it looked better on smaller children. One main reason that I might have thought that was because, a couple of years ago I made a jumpsuit at club, and it turned out terrible. This one that I bought yesterday had a whole different shape and it was much better.

Have a wonderful summer holiday!

I will for sure post some more this summer holiday.

Christmas!! Dress warm and cool..

Hi, first of all i want to wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year! I haven’t been writing on my blog for a while, but it is because I have like 5 drafts and the are all half done (I just have to take some pictures). In the new year (2011) I will hopefully find some time to be more active on this blog.

In Denmark it is very snowy this year and some places you can’t even get around. But the good thing about it being cold is that you get to dress cool, so even if you are cold you still look cool. Even if you don’t feel that cool dressed,  red cheeks always look great in the snowy weather (maybe not a runny nose). This morning (christmas morning) I got something that will keep a wooly style – I am sure. I got a scarf I have been looking at for ages, it is like a scarf that has been sewn together in the end (so its round) and then you just wrap it around your neck. Then I got some nice indoor shoes/slippers that were wool of to, with a flower on each one, they are very warm and cosy. You can buy the scarf in Gap.

Pets are keeping the christmas fashion high too you know. I see dogs wearing elf-shoes and i saw a cat in a window with a white, red and green scarf, with bells on the end. But the funniest is that my sister (Ciara, 10) made this elf-hat for her bunny it is hilarious!

That is all from me. And thank you all for reading my blog this year, and to the people who subscribed! Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!
