Facelift

In Project Mode is back and better!

When I drew this picture I thought that I needed a new start on this blog. So I gave it a little facelift and made this post. I hope you will enjoy my ‘new’ blog!

Day 5

Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls welcome to the last day of my inspiring theme week about art. Today is about Leonardo Da Vinci and full name: Leonardo Di Ser Piero Da Vinci. One of the greatest figures of the High Renaissance was Leonardo Da Vinci (April 1452 – May 1519 age 67). He was of course an Italian artist but also an engineer, scientist, sculptor, architect, musician, mathmetican, inventor, anatomist, botanist and a writer. His career started i Florence as an artist then he began working i Milan and Rome and the moving permanently to France during his final years. He was also served as a military engineer while he was working as an artist. Many paintings has bin produced but few of them have survived since then.

His works: of course Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Vitruvian Man and many many more…

Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci

Mona Lisa is a beautiful painting it is so real and also creepy because something Mona Lisa also is known for is the way her eyes follow you when you move from side to side. Try it on this picture.

Day 4

Halley Kassow

Welcome to day 4 of my wonderful art week. Today I will show you pictures by Halley Kassow (little sister – nearly 4). She is amazing, she can do anything with just a pencil and a paper. It started when she was about 2 years old, and like 6 months later she drew people in an abstract way with round feet and so on… She kind of left it again after that, but now she draws every single day. Here is probably my favorite picture she ever drew for me.

One of the things I love about this beautiful drawing is that it looks like something you did quick on 5 min. But when you look close up she has put a lot of work into it, just look at the small letters “M” and “A”. And the small flowers up top. I love this drawing.

Day 3

What would an art-theme-week be with out a day about PICASSO! Yes today is about the French artist Pablo Picasso. Pablo lived between 25th of October, 1881 Málaga, Spain – 8th of April, 1973. He was one of the most recognized in the 20th century art. His real name was:

Pablito Diego José Santiago Fransisco De Paula Juan Nepomuceno Crispín Crispiniao De Los Remedios Capriano De La Santísima Trinidad Ruiz Blasco Y Picasso López. And I thought I had a long name.

Girl before a mirror by Pablo Picasso

This is an beautiful painting I love the way Picasso was abstract and then showed it on his paintings. I think it is amazing. And I love his colors.

Day 2

Aisling Kassow

Welcome to day 2 of my great theme week about art. Today I would like to show you one of my pictures. I have always LOVED to paint, draw and write. My future would be drawing and painting in my freetime when i grow up. And now i will show you one of my favorite picture i have made:

On this painting i am trying to show you what the best place on earth looks like. I have chosen to use water color because i love the realness and the art-ish way it gives the painting and then it is really nice drawing the painting up some places with a black pen.

Day 1

Camilla Blachmann Udsholt

Welcome to the first day of my theme week about art. Today I would like to show you some great paintings from my living room by Camilla Blachmann Udsholt. Camilla was among the best selling female Danish artists in 2007 and 2008. Camilla was trained by José Vasconcello and has a education in textile design from Hellerup Textile Academy. She has travelled all over the world and gets her inspiration from Africa.

Picture 1: This picture is from 2003 and we bought it at the same time as we bought picture 2. I think it is a beautiful picture, because when you look at her paintings you find lots of faces in them, it is fantastic!

Picture 2: This picture was also made in 2003. I love the way it drips in some way and the tree is so inspiring and sharp.

Picture 3: Our oldest painting from 2001. I can just remember looking at it as a little girl and just thinking: “I will paint like that when I grow up”… Maybe I will paint well, but nobody will ever be able to paint such unique and so perfect as Camilla Blachmann Udsholt.
